Daytona Beach's Local Family-Operated Flooring Store
It All Started in Amish Country
Hyman has been in the flooring business for over 30 years. He started in 1992 as a salesman in a flooring store in Sugarcreek, Ohio (The store was located in an abandoned turkey barn. That's a story in itself.). On a side note, Sugarcreek, located on the edge of Amish country, once boasted of having the only Mcdonald's in the world with a hitching rail for horses. Quickly realizing he was too young and energetic to be stuck in a store all day, Hyman jumped at the opportunity when one of the installers asked to take him on as an apprentice. He had a van full of tools and was on his own in no time. Hyman spent the next few decades going into people's homes and businesses, honing his skills and learning the art of customer service.
The Family Grew, And So Did The Business
In 2013, at his wife's beckoning, he relocated his family to Daytona Beach and began reestablishing himself. Being a flooring installer provided well for Hyman and Dana (hence the name HD flooring) as they raised their two beautiful daughters. In 2019, HD Flooring Inc, the store, was launched. Beginning with the mission of providing high-quality flooring materials and services, both residential and commercial, they have now expanded into cabinets, closet systems, trim work, and more.
